And I'm talking WAY back.... I was very into the NBA.... but without a favorite team. I've never had a 'favorite' NBA team even though I used to always choose one team or the other to root for during games.
I loved the Lakers Celtics rivalry games back when they went at each other tooth and nail. I think the first player I really got behind was Pistol Pete. Loved watching Jerry West play... Elgin Baylor...Bill Russell... Oscar Robertson...Larry Bird...but around 1990 I lost interest. No particular reason, that I can remember anyway.... just lost interest.
I have periodically tried to renew my interest beginning a few years ago.... before my Grandson's became Thunder fans.... but it was their enthusiasm that really go me back into it. But even so... I probably only watch a couple regular season games a year. I watch a LOT more Ice Hockey. - JamesJM
