Olympic teams sports have become a real drag with the "DREAM" teams of PROFESSIONAL All Stars. I'm not even that much of a hockey fan. At almost 58 years old, that is still the only hockey game I have watched, on TV, from start to finish.
I was in 7th grade when that happened and recall going outside, shortly after, and hearing people shouting and celebrating in the distance in our neighborhood. Even heard a few firecrackers. LOL Also took SOME of the sting from Super Bowl 14 away.
It's the best players in the world against the best players in the world. Everyone's on equal footing. It's a great competition, just not the romanticized version of the past.
