He's quite the beauty. Don't let the groomer (you or the professional) shave his feathers-the strands below his underside. But yes he does need a good haircut with summer approaching given where he lives.

Gorgeous dog. I bet he loves to swim in one of your lakes ? If ever near the beach he likely will love the waves too.
