Here in Wichita Falls, ZZ Top played every few weeks in small clubs until they hit it, and in the 80s, Pantera played here constantly.. probably 5 nights a week every 6 weeks.. I got to know them so well and got up and jammed with the onstage somewhat frequently.. Lord, did they finally take off, tho.. those of us that saw them frequently couldn't understand why they didn't get signed much earlier..
