Love Wyoming, South Dakota...just too cold.

I consider this often and I change my mind on a minute to minute basis.

Some of the most beautiful places, (to me), are just too far north; meaning extreme winter conditions.... and I have to be honest with myself - I couldn't handle that. Iowa's winter posts terrify me.

I'd like a place with 4 seasons... an honest 4 seasons. Fall colors, while Christmas, green Springs, warm (not scorching hot) Summers. There really isn't any place like that, not perfectly anyway. More 'warm' weather than cold weather. How in the world some of you guys handle 6 months of freezing temps is beyond me.

So I guess I'm partial to the mid-latitude States. Too cold above and too hot below. - JamesJM
