Always wanted to visit because it seemed an interesting city to me. Well....
My youngest daughter is there right now. (Business but mostly play time
). Last night she Facetime'd us (video chat) and showed us a laser light show at the Cathedral. I had never even heard of the laser light show. It was AMAZING. Lots of Youtube videos of it available.
She and her husband are staying downtown and she's texting us photo's of the River Walk.... plus photos of every meal she's having. Mostly Texas BBQ but other foods as well.... and it looks DELICIOUS!!!
I looked up her location with "Find Friends" (location tracker) and made an amazing discovery. I believe San Antonio has more breweries than Seattle has Starbucks.
I swear there is one on every block. I like San Antonios idea better than Seattles.
There is a downside to San Antonio - - - my daughter reports that the humidity is unbearable. She told me with the humidity there 88º is like 110º here. I think she's exaggerating BUT... I've been in the south many times and it's true... the humidity is horrible. Some years ago while riding my motorcycle thru the south, heading home, I was pulling into every rest stop I came too and finding a garden hose to soak myself so I could make it to the next rest stop.
So San Antonio is on my list of places to visit one day BUT.... I think I'll go in winter time.
