That was only the 3rd movie I've gone to in 25 years. We just don't go to movie theaters anymore because the cost is just nuts. I pay out the butt for my streaming tv service with some add-ons and Amazon Prime so I don't really want to spend any more than what I'm already spending for entertainment. If I'm in the mood for a movie, Frank and I just look for one in the services I already pay for or I'll go searching online for something I don't have to pay for. I don't mind waiting for several months to see a movie if it means I can see it for free so we usually just wait it out. The Little Mermaid just hit the theaters on May 26 and Everett was chomping at the bit to see it. His mom asked if I wanted to go (her slick way of duping ME into paying. I'm such a sucker) and I said "sure". oy!
Since I'm providing grandma daycare this summer while school is out, I may bite the bullet and take him to a few more movies because there are some cute ones coming out that he'd like to see. I'm already springing for a gymnastics class, swimming lessons, and tickets to a live theatrical production of Bluey's Big Play.
