About 2 years ago, I read a great book on Hiroshima/ Nagasaki.

It mostly detailed what led to their Bombing. When it discussed the testing of the bomb, it mentioned how they lit one off in the vast remote areas of New Mexico at 4 AM. Made me think......Could you imagine being ANYONE within 100-200 miles of that?? You KNOW it put up a creepy / strange glow in the sky for many miles. These days, we know what it might be but then?? I bet that freaked at least a few people out.. That book also mentioned that Oppenheimer could be one strange dude at times.
