Initially we drove to the top of the cliff at Cayman Brac and the guide took us to the edge, where I had to crouch on my knees to "sort of" look over the edge.. immediately got dizzy and backed off.. Climbing up the sheer vertical wall, had I looked down I would have been screwed.. I probably would have gotten dizzy and fallen, so I just never looked down - the entire way down..
Oddly enough my first Virtual Reality sim was a "fear of heights" sim where you ride up an elevator 25 stories, the doors open and you hafta walk out on a plank and pick up stuff.. Every time you pick something up, it triggers something (like an F-16 buzzing by you) to try and make you fall off.. I have fallen off that plan at LEAST 5000 times, wit no issues, although walking out on the plank still kind of freaks me out..
That was a course I built for Sheppard AFB here which was patterned after a commercial VR sim you can buy.. I forget what its called - Harry's Plank or something like that..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
