You never watched the show, James? It was full of everyday people revealing lots and lots of unsavory behavior (cheating more than anything) and getting their 15 minutes of fame while Jerry Springer was like the Master of Ceremony while it transpired on stage. There were physical altercations and nastiness between guests on the show while they aired their dirty laundry, shed tears, threatened each other, and all sorts of high emotional dramatics. Many times hired security people on staff had to step in to break things up while the audience cheered and jeered the whole time. I watched a few shows but it was NOT my cup of tea and I stopped watching that mess a long time ago.
