All time favorite movies...

How many times have we discussed this? But this topic occurred to me because there is a movie that I often fail to mention when I list my fav's.

I HAVE mentioned it... but not as often as: "It's A wonderful Life"; "Casablanca", "Citizen Kane", "Tombstone", "To Kill A Mockingbird" - several others. And that movie is:

"The Right Stuff". I consider it SO good that when I rewatch it, (which I did last night), I think to myself.."this is it, #1, ahead of the others".

That isn't really true... I think that to myself when watching the others BUT... I dunno, it might be.

Can't really explain how much I love this movie... IMHO it hasn't got a single flaw other than perhaps not being long enough.... had it been 12 hours long I would have watched it all and stayed enthralled the entire time.

I have the entire movie memorized but no matter... I laugh when you're supposed to, I cry when you're supposed to, I get chills when you're supposed to.... it's new to me every time.

I think "The Right Stuff" for me is very close, actually equal, to what "Jaws" is to Steve. - JamesJM
