My Granddaughter's current location....

I'm sure most of you know this castle but for those of you who don't it's Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany. It was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland.

I have been to this castle a few times and my granddaughter has been looking at my photos of it for years.... and yearning. This is a dream come true for her. She finally made it.

Also of note: When I was stationed in Germany, (back in the middle ages), one of my favorite treats were pickled white fish sandwiches. They served them at the beer festivals and I became addicted to them. I talked about those sandwiches to my son for his entire life (he was born in Germany but too young, obviously, to remember them) and when i took my family to Europe in 2007 I was going to surprise my son immediately after getting off the train in Heidelberg... he beat me to it. He, too, got addicted to them.. WELLLLL....

My granddaughter just had her first German pickled white fish sandwich.... and yup, she's now addicted. Runs in the family I guess.
