I'm sitting on my sofa and my hearing aids start trying to blow out my ear drums. "TORNADO ALERT - TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY".....
Tornados in these parts are extremely rare. So I ran out my door to spot it.... didn't see anything hitting the ground but a huge cloud was rapidly spinning... never saw anything like that before in my life. You could tell that the winds had to be fierce. I'd estimate it was about 1 to 2 miles east of my home.... and sort of moving closer, then further, then closer again... until it moved to the south and much further east.
I never saw anything touch ground... nor have I heard of it touching down and I'm sure I would have by now had it hit. - JamesJM
