You know what absolutely astounds me? In some of those underwater caves they have found evidence of ancient human exploration. IOW... BEFORE scuba gear some daring soul ventured into those caves while holding their breath and found pockets of air where they could draw on the walls. That takes a level of courage, or maybe stupidity, I cannot understand.
Now some, I know, probably occurred when sea levels were different... IOW, not underwater... or maybe the land was higher... BUT NOT ALL... some WERE underwater and some knucklehead decided to check it out. - JamesJM
