Like with the big metal helmet?

I'm sure they still do.. My guess would be that would be for pretty deep diving, like working on an oil rig, or something, but I'm not sure.. The helmet, I think, would keep you from having to equalize your ears and POSSIBLY getting air from the surface the air wouldn't be pressurized so you could stay down longer? I really don't know.. Hopefully waterfield can chime in on that..

I DO have one of those helmets at the house - its a smaller replica, but really cool..
