about keeping them as I do the same thing.....I was just surprised
kinda like baseball cards......condition is important, 1st print is like a rookie card (I still have trouble figuring out first print records)).....just blown away about some of the values - especially CDs.....recently sold a few CDs for $40 each: a 311 Cd, Mickey Hart (from Grateful Dead) and Kyuss Queens of the Stone age (??)
As you probably know, KISS is big with collectors, sold a pretty worn Creatures of the Night LP (which I think is a crappy album for KISS) for $35.....funny how one thing is worth a lot and another is not
also interesting some bands will reprint their records and sell them at Walmart, Target where other like Dave Matthews won't or if they do it's a fortune
also read an article records and CDs were made better in 70s 80s than today - CD audio quality went down after 90s
just goes to show......people love to collect stuff whether its records or ceramic kittys or Christmas stuff or toys
