My mother-in-law started giving me a puzzle for Christmas around ten years ago. I don’t remember why it started, I don’t recall saying that I wanted to start doing puzzles, but she gave me one and she has done so every Christmas since. They are always 1000 or 1500 piece puzzles and they’re always winter or Christmas themed. I usually finish it by New Years Day,. My older daughter usually helps out so it’s turned out to be a nice activity that I never thought that I’d enjoy. I think when I retire in a few years I’d like to always have a puzzle on the go, at least during the winter months.
As far as your puzzle goes, I think that I would really struggle with the borders on the sides and the top. Looks like the planes won’t really appear on those pieces so it will tough to distinguish what belongs where because all of those pieces will look so similar. Some of those planes will also look similar when broken down into their puzzle pieces. Yeah, that’s a difficult looking one, but I’m no expert.
EDIT: on second glance maybe the border isn’t what I thought it was. I initially thought that the camo on the edge of the box was part of the puzzle, now I don’t think so. Either way, those small bits of plane won’t give you much to go by.
