I think the thing for me is that, over the past few games of the season (despite losses), an undermanned roster continued to play hard for their coaches.
That goes a long way for me.
Moving forward, though:
1) The O-line definitely needs a return to health and an infusion of talent and bodies for good competition in camp. This is where I believe the team will spend most of its FA and draft capital.
2) I expect a return to health of our offensive playmaker. I don't expect much change here. This includes Akers returning.
3) I suspect that the organization will attempt to secure a veteran edge rusher along the same lines as how they acquired Floyd (modest one-year prove-it deal) or Fowler (modest trade). Thinking Clellin Ferrell.
4) And, like they've done over the past couple of seasons, I suspect that they'll continue to draft secondary heavy in the late rounds.
5) For back-up QB, I think that Sam Darnold would come here on the cheap.
As disappointing as this season was, it's not indicative of who we've been over the past 5 years.
The sky is not falling. We have the core to make another Super Bowl run.
