43 I agree with your sentiments of wanting to keep BM.

Unless there is not a good market to BM talents which I find highly unlikely, there is basically no way he stays with the Rams. I don't think any secret deal would be legal or enforceable and why would Stafford agree to retire early? Would he have to give up money? If not ouch a big cap hit

Face it the Rams mortgaged the future and the signing of Stafford, Donald and Kupp was designed to keep the playoff contender window open for 2 more years. Injuries blew it this year and next year we should have a playoff caliber roster. After next year things become dicy.

It is not really complicated in how to handle BM.

If there isn't a good market for him figure out how to manage the cap and pay him as a good quality backup.

If there is a good market for BM wish him well and take the comp pick.

I really don't see and other viable solutions that keep BM on the Rams.
