Not obvious to me.
They have a tenuous relationship McVay and Akers: but it would seem to prove that Acres was right and McVay was wrong.
IMO both were right.
Henderson and Akers when fully health both have had some up and down performances with Acres actually not able to resoundingly prove that he was an upgrade.
More run commitment would have favored either runner and our offense as well.
McVays infatuation with Kupp and Stafford seems to have destabilized our run game and as a conclusion I think Mayfield is the best option we have to reignite a commitment to running.
you lost me on this one Bum?
the question was "Is Cam Akers making a case to keep his job?"
I think the answer is pretty obvious...especially after a 150 yard 3 TD day
I don't think Kupp and Stafford had anything to do with destabilizing our rushing attack...in fact it should have helped it. Akers was coming off a major injury and our OL disintegrating didn't help.
I think it's pretty clear what ever Sean and Cam issues were, they are behind them now...Sean seems super high on Cam lately.
