Boom will be on the team next season because he can perform at a high level when healthy.
However, Boom is injury prone and this is yet another example of a bad contract where the player has had injuries and reminds me of the Gurley contract which cause us to eat a lot of dead money. Perhaps we had no choice as we needed a left tackle and Jackson certainly wasn't proven enough to take over.
Next Season it looks like Boom, Jackson, Allen/Shelton, Shelton/Bruss, & Havs. I expect a pick or two to be used for depth. I also think the line could be okay if it stays healthy. I think there is a chance they cut Allen and put Shelton at center.
