Liked the way you broke it down. I think the front office also really likes Bruss and used a fairly high pick for him and he was chosen to specifically play RG. I didn't like his showing in the PS but he is a big tough kid and former Badger. I would think he would get the nod over Ancrum at this point. The big problem with your plan is who is that LT (somebody like Whit) and how can you afford to sign him with the salary cap?
Could be a big name LOT like Tunsil, for example. But it could be a lesser known but solid player that they like. Has to be at least very solid LOT, though.
Point is that it will be a young and healthy and PROVEN performer for Rams for next 5 years. Like Big Whit was. With players like that at LOT a lot of problems just evaporate for Stafford.
As to cost? Money will be saved by departure of the likes of Allen, Boom, Floyd, Edwards, Evans, possibly Atwell, Allen Robinson, and A’Shawn Robinson, among others. Hell, Higbee might not be untouchable in this loaded TE class. Rams always find the money when they want a certain player bad enough.
I like Tunsil and have proposed acquiring him as he'd anchor the line and be a good foundational piece for life after Donald/Stafford.
The thing is, though...
I don't believe that Tunsil is a FA in 2023. He'll need to be acquired via trade and then a mammoth extension. What is your trade package? I'm assuming you're already willing to part with your 2024 1st rounder. What else?
