I'd like to see time of possession - and that, relative to starting position for drives.
I can't cite the evidence to quantify it, but we've all seen D's run out of steam trying to play with a three-and-out offense that puts the opposing O at midfield too often, and gets the D off the field just long enough to grab a small cup of Gatorade.
The TOP stat with the Rams, I'm sure relates partially to the lack of a pass rush that forces three-and-outs and picks, exacerbated by our own three-and-out or short time of possession offense.
Our D did a magnificent job keeping KC from scoring touchdowns late in the game, series after series. They didn't lose heaart whgen they had to go back on the field, as happened not that long ago. They showed grit and heart - things you can't measure.
