...than anything Perkins threw yesterday and against the Saints. A team with superbowl hopes next year needs a backup who can win a couple games when the starter goes out - or at least go .500. A vet is a good option. It's just a money question. You're not likely going to get a functioning backup in 2023 from a 6th round pick or UDFA this offseason. Wolford has won one game - but looks like that was his ceiling. I can't see Perkins winning a game this year. Yesterday is kind of what he does - he runs around - can have some success scrambling but he can only really read half the field and throw dump offs and short routes.
