Yes, they did. I didn't expect a W today. The Chiefs are ranked #1 in NFL.com's Power Rankings and the Rams are ranked #28. I figured the day would end in a miserable beat down. But that's not what happened. There were signs of life. It wasn't a great team effort but it wasn't an "I can't look because it's so awful" effort either. For the most part, the defense played well especially in the 2nd half. Perkins wasn't great but I thought he was better than Wolford. He needs time to get better, especially to improve his passing game.... and I think he can be a decent backup QB. If they'd let Tutu handle more than a couple of plays, who knows what he could do? They need to turn him loose a but more. I did not feel down in the dumps when the game was over even though we suffered another loss. I felt... hopeful. And that in itself was a surprise.
