He talks about getting better but refused to really take his challenge. Either he is surrounded by yes men die to influence in HC decisions over the past 4 yrs. Else he is extremely insecure that relinquishing play calling some how diminishes his luster as an offensive genius.

A team that adds Allen Robinson in offseason should have expanded play calling rather than focus on putting the lime light on Kupp.

He Teases the need of a Deep threat and touted Atwell. Held back McCutcheon and also toyed with Skrownek rather than be more creative to diversify the offense and missed a lot opportunities and under developement of the current roster.

His mishandling of RBs is a big fail for him and the duplicitous comments re RBs is clear evidence that he had no better plan.

By no means is his job in jeopardy but by all means he needs to grow up and fast if his coaching career is able to keep from tarnishing.

I think you nailed it. McVay's job is not in jeopardy and nor should it be.

He changed the way defenses had to play him and was able to adapt when they first "slowed" his offense down with that 6-1 crap. He is going to have to adjust again due to defenses adjusting to him again but this time, he will need to retool the offense with talent as well as good pay calling.

He is hands down one of the BEST HC's we have ever had!

Having said that, he is deserving of the criticism for this year's struggles. His play calling is the most uncreative I have ever seen from him and that should be his "strong suit".

We are now seeing one of his weaknesses is roster management and player development.

Bringing in Arob then ignoring him in the playbook was just ridiculous.

There is no excuse for Tutu to not have more plays designed for him and his speed. None.

Declaring a "Redshirt" year for McCutch before the season even started was also a mistake. The kid flashed talent in the preseason and earned a "chance" to get some reps in the regular season.

Lots of stuff for McVay to improve on and I think he will do just that. We will see changes in play calling, coaches and players next year. McVay's ego/pride will make sure it happens!
