The Rams haven't paid a lot for a safety and we haven't gotten a lot. Other teams pay safeties. And if his salary is on the books, and he is better able to help the defense at safety, why not? His leadership would be welcome back there. I'm not saying it's a solution or that he's done as a cb, but there is precedent for this move by a cb. So, maybe its not something they're looking at, but it's not 'ridiculous' as you assert.
