A simple answer: you, me and every fan. If one is upset by the absurd amounts of money given to professional athletes (and actors who can make more than most athletes do for one movie) then stop giving it to them. Every profit making company finds ways to market to the consumer and the smart ones reinvest it to create even more. Sports is simply entertainment and highly profitable if run correctly. I don't blame the players I blame us for funding it.
