practice to see what they do?
What your comment is really about IMO is another backdoor
way to go after a certain coach and suggest he's responsible
for the player's failings.
I posted a whole thing on this last year. That the coaching
fundamentals is not a common thing in the NFL
Sure, a QB coach can watch film of a Qb to see if he's
going off course on his mechanics . . . but it would
be specific stuff.
A coach maybe gives a young Linebacker
a tip on something. He wouldn't teach that guy how to
play linebacker.
The fundamentals, which you specifically listed, are
expected.
It takes a full week of practices to get a gameplan going
and installed. Practices are limited in time and scope.
A player who has a fumbling problem might get some extra
attention after practice or something like that but
with so few padded practices tacking and blocking fundamentals
are not what happens in practice.
But hey, I am foolish no doubt. And dumb as a box of rocks
too.
