Isn’t teaching players how to execute their respective responsibilities still part of a coaches job description?
Things like these.
Blocking
Tackling
Running the football
Catching the football
Learning how to study film
Since when do coaches get a complete pass when their players keep screwing up?
Quality coaching is the single biggest difference between two NFL teams in any given game.
Rams coaching roster used to be considered elite. Now they’re struggling with fundamentals. Makes me sick.
They are all taught that... sometimes it can come down to desire and focus over a long stretch.
If it's one play in question, then that's a small sample size. But if it is a series of plays over a course of a season where there is a consistent pattern of lack of focus or desire, then that is an issue.
One thing I'm seeing is that maybe the passion for blocking from skill players left with Bobby Woods.
I think Ben gets in there, but Kupp and Woods were infectious to others in cleaning out blocks.
Not sure if I see the same "desire" with the skill players now. Or maybe they are just utilized differently.
