Oh yeah, and let's start the 3rd string QB...
Great post. I remember going to a pizza joint down the street, and they'd shuffle me off to the back TV in the corner... because nobody in LA but me was watching the Rams then (or so I felt). Being a Rams fan is hard. We've struggled through decades of losing. Never the favorite. Always the underdog. So much burned sage.
And it's hard now to see us go from swan dive to belly flop. It's hard when we didn't do the things we all knew we needed to do, because we've got it all figured out. It's hard watching all of the haters crawling out of the cracks because they have it all figured out. Our poor, clueless boy wonder of a coach...
Unfortunately for me, I'm a Rams crackhead. I'll be back in front of the TV Sunday, watching another atrocious game because I'm stupid like that. And I'll question the coach, the players, the refs and call the announcers "homers" for the other team. It's what we do here. And when I'm done, I'll be happy knowing we still have one of the best coaches, working for one of the best owners in the sport. I may not always agree with him, but I remember Linehan, Rich Brooks, and those clowns. I'm in no hurry to go back.
