For me it seemed like an underachieving (or uncapable) player no one wanted but still better than what was on the roster situation.
Or maybe it was we will try to trade you, per your public wish to play for another team but if we can't get more than a 7th then we are just going to keep you. Either way, to have the focus on an ineffective player is just weird to me. And if he is going to blame others for his lack of production then I don't know how that changes until he looks in the mirror. Maybe he has done that now that no one wants him.
