Great as he is McVay is not perfect. He clearly prefers pass catchy type RBs who have speed to threaten defenses on his preferred outside zone runs. And that's fine as an
element to have in your backfield. I just think loading 4 of them is ridiculous.
Why not have one RB who can bring power to the mix. His offense has always looked excellent whenever it has had a power rush threat in the backfield. He may not be able to throw the ball to them, but they will get tough yards, draw the backers on fakes, and actually pass block which is something none of his favored backs do well.
It's time he took a hard look at his offensive structure and realized the advantages of a power element in that backfield. The evidence is there on tape.
