The old cable and satellite TV access is fading and will eventually be replaced by streaming services. Amazon, Netflix, Apple+, Disney+, Roku, Peacock, Hulu, etc. will compete for online coverage. The old will go the way of newspapers as commercial revenue will drop as subscribers do.
Personally I have interest in watching live Rams games (and haven't missed one in years) online but did away with the DTV and cable years ago. I suspect eventually for out-of-town fans (I live in Maryland) we will be able to select a package of ONLY Rams games which I would welcome. But making me choose some local east coast team instead or paying ridiculous money for every game is not going to work for most. I can read or watch clips of other games after they are done, I don't need them live.
