I think it is disrespectful to the defense to think that each quarterback has to touch the ball, because that's really all it is.
People just want to see Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes put up 60 points! If that hame had been between teams quarterbacked by Jimmy Garoppolo and Ryan Tannehill, no one would have even started that conversation in the first place.
It's about ratings, and the average football fan doesn't care about anything but a high score.
Why not just take the defense out of it altogether. Just let Mahomes and Allen take turns inside the 20 and throw no-look and behind the back passes to uncovered receivers (that way, there is no chance for a turnover). The fans can award points for the best-looking catches, and the team that gets the highest point total will be declared the winner.
I was so glad that the Bengals ended the Chiefs' season in KC. I watch those highlights almost as often as I watch the Rams' postseason highlights.
