Funny, I posted a similar thread a month ago on another forum. Warner was uncanny but that squad was so loaded, even Marc Bulger had Pro Bowl stats even when the talent was depleted. That team went for the jugular and Warner was a special part of that.
Stafford's run in the playoffs last year was extraordinary. Those clutch moments at the end of the last three games were all instant classics. Perhaps this year, the 22 squad can blow teams out every now and then and then I will elevate Matthew above Kurt. Any QB rating metric I know of indicates Warner's efficiency was far superior. Still, the guts Matthew showed last year is an element that has no statistical value, but should absolutely be factored.
I guess I'm just waiting to compare three years of Stafford to the 3 full seasons w Kurt as a Ram. I don't want to use the Lions, Giants, and first two years of Kurt in Arizona because, to me, it isn't fair to judge a QB when most of the limitations have to do with the coaches and other 10 offensive players. They both handled that losing with class and grace with their teammates and the media. They both have the character not to blame anyone else. It's part of what makes them both special
