Agree about the punting: not enough hang time.
Also agree about the pass defense in PS3: were the DBs being hamstrung with the old soft zone for evaluation purposes?
They sure had everybody open all the time and the throws were plenty good enough. Yikes.
Combining that with no pass rush to speak of yields opponent backup QBs passing at will.
As noted, Perkins did not have that luxury. Coverage was tight and the pass rush was coming.
Perkins was mostly heady but boy the windows were tight.
