I don't know how many people here have played wide receiver, but the ability to adjust back like he did there is an elite skill...the ONLY one I actually possessed. One can peek at the ball in the air going up and feel where to go and then make the final adjustment in the last half second. He didn't stay on his feet because he outran the ball a couple feet. That special skill is what set Isaac Bruce apart on his SB winning catch because he decelerated behind the catch point so he could run through it but kept his body square to throw off the DB. For my money, the best at that is Tyreek Hill. He's not just fast, but he recognizes catch points so early that he can intentionally make moves and still arrive on time. Desean Jackson is another good example.
I'm starting to see McVay's role for TuTu. All he has to do is win a few deep clear outs and safeties will be forced to account for him and that will open the short and medium routes for everyone else. Last year, they used Van and Desean for it until the playoffs when they schemed up OBJ.
