It could happen, but......Remember it was rookie vs rookie night last night in Sofi.
McCutcheon was not doing that against a veteran corner.
He did have one heck of a game, looks the part and catches with his hands.
"IF" McCutcheon keeps playing like he did last night....What do you think the WR GROUP of the final 53 looks like?
Kupp, Robinson, Skowronek, Jefferson ......Looking at the Rams depth chart, it's going to be tough to make this squad as a WR. REAL TOUGH!
Agree that it’s just 1 game against backups. But he HAS had a helluva camp, too, according to all reports so I think he’s established that he’s legit as a prospect.
I also agree that it will be an insanely difficult challenge for anyone to even make this Ram WR roster. Whew!
For funsies I’m gonna list my current WR pecking order based upon what I’ve seen or heard from reliable sources. Might be a couple of surprises here.
Kupp/Robinson (yeah, I think they’re now more or less gonna be co-favorites of Stafford).
Jefferson (when healthy and possibly only by a whisker)
McCuthcheon/Atwell (I’d actually give McCutcheon a slight edge here because of his size and blocking ability).
Skowonek
That’s 6 WR’s, but Rams might keep 7. At this time I think they keep just 6 while anticipating the signing of OBJ, although either Atwell or McCutcheon could make OBJ superfluous.
Harris goes to ps until he proves to be NFL ready AND can stay healthy. He was a nice experiment but I’m afraid a tease with no chance to beat out these other VERY talented WR’s in the near future, certainly not this year.
Champagne problem.
