Rams-Chargers Preseason game first half notes

Chargers Ball
Kendrick looked ok on D first drive. Rochelle jumped a route and led to an incompletion.
Whitley (DE) could not hold edge gave up run to space he vacated.
Deep touchdown pass – two WR go deep on left side, busted coverage WR way behind Burgess easy TD busted coverage not sure who at fault.
Rams Ball
Rams first drive – Blanton nice block on a roll out, Perkins holds ball too long leads WR too far can’t keep feet in bounds. Problem I saw in camp a lot, 2nd string C (Kolone) snaps too high on shotgun snaps. Takes Perkins a little bit extra time getting set. On the poor snap, Burgess get blown up, ten yard sack loss.
Not much to say about chargers next drive – did not get a lot of coverage as focus was on an interview.
Rams Ball
Akers had trouble catching punt had called for a fair catch but was able to do so.
Deep pass PI. Perkins dances in backfield takes his eyes from downfield throws ball into turf. Perkins late throwing ball next play too.
Chargers Ball
B Brown nice sack. Kendrick near pick six. Punt returner tackled before the ball get these. Rams start on Chargers 47. Couple of runs. Third and 6, Perkins breaks four tackles gets first (flushed from pocket). Has two other runs on the drive -first was for a first down where he broke one tackle to get past the sticks. Second was 1st and goal but ran too quickly and was popped on the run. Takes too long to throw – leads to the runs. Seems that he is taking too long to determining who to throw to.
Chargers Ball
Chargers three and out. Not much to say as interviewing Wagner. Yeast nice hit (another ram had wrapped up receiver).
Rams ball again – first pass too wide for the WR.
Perkins throws to Lance McCutcheon when McCutcheon not open. Running down left sideline, DB running even with him. Goes up and makes a nice catch in traffic, breaks a tackle to get by two DBs for a 60 yard TD!
On one front Rams are already ready for the regular season – lots of snaps with less than three seconds on the clock.
Chargers Ball
Gervase nice tackle over middle. Brown nice tackle at line of scrimmage next play.
Rush lanes busted open Daniels runs up middle for like 25 yards. Next play RB rush up middle again. Perhaps hole at LB past top three (not sure if we even carry a 4th IL. Charger RB Spiller getting yards in chunks – up middle, swing to right side as well. Pass over the middle (missed tackle first down). Next pass WR caught ball on the while on the ground Hardy does not rush to touch him, get extra free yards. Busted coverage leads to another TD. Lots of open WRs on that drive.
Special Teams
Dicker kicked off short. First punt into the end zone. Next punt much better. Dicker made extra point (Dixon holds).
Funk not much on kickoff returns.
TV Production stinks
Multiple times there was a set of green arrows on screen – can’t see anything. First interview the interviewer’s mike was not on. At halftime they said in the second quarter, wait we don’t have any highlights from the second quarter (at least two scores occurred so there were things to talk about).
