While recovering from foot surgery and having to sit around with my foot elevated, I watched a few classic NFL games. While watching the 1981 playoff game between the Chargers and Dolphins (which the Chargers won 41-38 in OT), I noticed several former Rams: John Cappelletti, Dwight Scales, Jack Pardee (defensive coordinator), Eddie Hill, and Bob Brudzinski. A future Ram was on the Chargers that season: Pete Holohan. One of the other games that I watched was the 54-51 game that needs no further description. While watching that game, it occurred to me that there is no doubt in my mind that the 2018 Rams would have won the Super Bowl if Cooper Kupp hadn't been lost with an injury and Toff Gurley hadn't been hobbled by an injury.
