That's pretty harsh. I think we should be happy we have two starting quality backs and three decent back ups who were also hurt we have returning along with a promising kid from the draft. Hendu has a lot of talent and played big in the big game. We might re-sign him after the season, and if not, the kid might indeed be ready to replace him next year. Look good either way. Some on this board continue to bash Hendu. I really don't get it. Some prefer Akers. I'm okay with that, but that preference shouldn't lead to wanting to trash a player on our Rams. It's like the Perkins versus Wolf debate. The rams like them both. We know because they kept three QBs instead of the usual two. Many prefer Perkins. Again, that's very cool. But, in stating your preference, do you need to bash the other guy?
The team we all cheer for just won the dang Super Bowl!!! Many of the world champs are returning. None of them suck. The out with the old in with the new philosophy just doesn't always work when you're talking about veterans in the NFL. There's a tremendous amount of turnover every season for the roster. But, predicting fifth rounders to beat out championship quality vets normally doesn't happen, and in the most cases, shouldn't.
