Paying McVay and Snead top dollar is a no brainer. This is where and owner committed to winning can make a difference without screwing up the cap. Once the owner starts messing with Football operations, with possibly Jerry Jones being the exception, they usually do more harm than good and then they end up screwing up the cap which may take years to overcome.
Kroenke focus is on building a sustainable organization modeled on what the Patriots have accomplished. The key to that model is to get the best coach and best general manager which in their case happens to be the same person. It seems that while the Rams model differs from the Patriot model that the Rams have a Great Coach, General Manager and Cap/Contract VP along with a President that doesn't screw things up. We have seen great success over the last 5 years though it seems like yesterday that McVay arrived and Snead was on life support. So much has happened that is good and sometimes you just need to remember how good things have been and how blessed we are to be fans of this organization.
