McVay sits the starters, heck, he even sat Noteboom last year too during preseason and he was a backup. If Bruss impresses early and plays well against Cincinnati in the scrimmages, does McVay sit a rookie? IMO, I believe if they feel Bruss is the guy, he sits to be ready for Thursday Night against Buffalo.

One could make an argument for the logic of either course of action by McVay.
Perhaps it will be a combo? Meaning most of the decision on Bruss will be from practices and the Bengal scrimmages but McVay might also give him limited snaps in the PS just to confirm?
