And yeah, hindsight tells us that they were over reliant on signing Miller. Lesson learned.
Not sure if the Rams were "over reliant" on Von signing or not. I don't know if Miller "led on" the Rams that he was coming back and then at the last minute changed his mind when offered that Buffalo deal. That deal came out of nowhere.
The Rams are usually very good about this type of thing so I wouldn't be surprised if the blame goes to Miller. I think the Rams might have already had a number in mind for Miller and he was happy with it but how the h3ll so you turn down that kind of money Buffalo offered.
IMO, If the Bills don't make that offer, the Rams resign Von as planned. If the Rams had the slightest inkling that Von wasn't going to sign here, they would have been more aggressive with a "plan B". By the time Miller made the deal, most of the "plan B" guys were gone.
I don't think the Rams would come out and say it was Miller's fault but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I am not sure Von really wanted to be here anyway. He wanted to be in Denver and he felt 0% loyalty to the Rams. In other words...the Rams wanted Von MORE than Von wanted the Rams.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
