Initially I was pretty surprised by this signing, but after reading the above USAT article, the moved seems to make a great deal of sense,

"There was nothing wrong with the Rams’ receiving corps before adding Robinson, but their wideouts were all kind of similar. At least Robinson is unique in his skill set and frame, which should make Stafford – who played with Calvin Johnson and Kenny Golladay – very happy."

The one complaint/concern, that I agree with, is Kupp & Woods are the same type of receiver. Plus given Woods lower number per game until his injury, makes this signing look like a smart move. Love Booby Trees, but the NFL is a business and I like Bill Walsh's approach to letting a player go a year to early as opposed to a year too late.
