Old NFL - Big HITS / New NFL - Big PLAYS

As many of you remember, during the GSOT days the big HITS were what made the highlights. After the, very legit, concerns about head trauma, the NFL toned down the vicious hits. At the same time, many were saying that was the end of the NFL.

Over the past ten years, it seems to me, the biggest plays are centred around pass plays. The biggest play, to my mine, is OBJ's one handed catch while going out of bounds. It was an instant classic. One of the biggest plays in SB history, was Eli Manning pass where Tyree (sp?) pinned the ball to his helmet. Still remember when I originally watched it - amazing. In the ensuring instant reply, seeing that it was a legit catch made it even more amazing.

The shift has gone from vicious, mild altering, hits to incredible pass plays. The NFL is as exciting as ever!
