Rams fan, for sure.
However, I do think the timing was purposefully done by Brian Flores. Black History Month just started, there is the heightened visibility of the SB for press coverage, and there is the lack of any scheduled games this week(almost 2 weeks)--again, more coverage, notwithstanding the Pro Bowl. I personally do feel this is a huge and important issue that should be addressed forcefully with the owners.
But I do like that it takes some of the media coverage away and the need for the press to find any angle, distractions, for our players/team. At least with some of the spotlight off of them and the game, hopefully, our players will be able to better focus on the challenge at hand and not get lost in the media circus that always envelopes the SB.
I may be wrong here, just thinking of positives through this since we can't do anything about it now anyway.
