Give it to Rogers? Heck, he'll be sitting home watching the games. Same with Brady. Why should they get MVP? They weren't valuable enough to even get their teams to the Conference Championship games.
And I agree; if MVP is a QBs only award, and then change the award to Most Valuable QB and stop pretending. It would be like Baseball giving the MVP to a pitcher every year. Or the NBA to a Center every year.
In the end, perhaps only someone from the winning Superbowl team ought to get the award. After all, the goal is to win the Superbowl, right? Then how can the Most Valuable Player not be a player on the team that wins it all? Why would a guy on a team that didn't win it all be seen as "Most Valuable"? It devalues the word valuable.
