On the podcast Rich H. explained the whole thing about limiting sales to Southern California residents and how it didn't happen. It COULD have happened if season ticket holders did not buy up all the tickets- which they did.
A week 18 game scheduled 8 months in advance and this game are two very different things. There is clearly a more concerted effort to keep tickets in the hands of Rams' fans. And as Rich also said there was similar concern ahead of the 2018 divisional game vs. Dallas and while Dallas had a strong contingent there it was not a sea of Dallas fans. Rams fans showed up in force vs. ARZ. I have no doubt that a high percentage of tickets being sold on the secondary market will go to 49ers fans. The issue I think is fewer of the tickets will be sold, period (which is in part driving that price up).
exactly.....It's much much easier to plan for a game 6 months out with plenty of affordable tickets for sale. It is a whole nother level when you only have a week or two and tickets are $$$$
There are about 5500 tickets still available and the cheapest ones are $722 after fees.....that is insane, that alone will keep many of them away.
I'm guessing maybe 15K tops will be wearing Red....unfortunately that damn color sticks out like a sore thumb
